Part Time Employment at Laurel House
Respite House Parents
Laurel House is seeking married Christian couples to provide respite coverage one weekend a month and/or one week a quarter. The pay is $110 per person per weekend. Respite couples move into the house parents’ quarters for the weekend and maintain the structured and loving environment at Laurel House while providing relief for the full-time house parents. Professional Qualifications: Previous experience working with adolescents, valid California driver’s license, must meet state licensing requirements and fingerprint clearance. I first came to Laurel House about three years ago. I was twelve going on thirteen, and I thought I knew everything there was to know about life. I had many issues that needed to be worked on in counseling. I also had many problems with my parents. I worked out a lot of problems with my family and felt I had grown as a person by the time I graduated from the program.
